There are a lot of us who appreciate the older woman. More comfortable in their skin, not stupid or dippy, don't care about what others think. And better in bed! Oh right, got it now i think. Ere I hope yer not callin me a perv then!! thats what i said at the begining of the thread. Ever since I was young, I had a thing about older men. I had a few brief flings with a couple of older guys, but they bored me. Then I met my hubby. I was 22 and he was 51 when we started dating, though we were really good friends before we dated. 16 years later, we are still going strong. I have always fancied a certain type. Now I am the same age as that type you can't say I like older now! In fact as I get older it well mean I fancy younger! Ever since I was young, I had a thing about older men. The only thing that would bother me with that sort of age gap is the knowledge that your husband will most likely die with you still quite young. Sorry to bring it up my friend, but it will most likely happen. Older men like younger girls because they are (mostly) better-looking and men are shallow. I love younger guys. I don't want a father figure or someone with a big bank balance. Younger guys are cuter. I would have thought a young woman would want a young partner. They are more potent, stronger therefore more likely to bring that mammoth down. I would have thought a young woman would want a young partner. They are more potent, stronger therefore more likely to bring that mammoth down. They want an alpha male. In the modern world the males with the most power are often older. In school it's the older boys. In life it's guys who've learned to cope with the world in a more mature way who seem successful. In prehistoric times the older guy would have been the one who'd taught himself to use poison, rather than risking himself trying to attack the mammoth. The chiefs of tribes are older. I'm 19 and I've found older guys more attractive than younger ones for as long as I remember. In school, I had crushes on some male teachers, a couple of my dad's friends and then just other random people. Heck, I even had a period when I thought I was in love with my best friend's dad! I can't really explain it, but I do know that I don't like immaturity at all. I never have, and I think that a lot of guys around my age are very immature. I also think it's something to do with the fact that they're unobtainable - or they were in my case, at least. Teacher/pupil relationships are obviously a complete no-no, and most of the other older guys were married. I think this is something to do with it because there is an older guy who seems to fancy me now and it freaks me out - he's single, you see, and we were good friends before (I used to work with him). I honestly think there's more chance of me feeling the same way if he was already in a relationship, purely because then I wouldn't be able to have him. You know, it's sort of like it's the fantasy more than the reality for me - although I would still much rather end up in a permanent relationship with an older guy than one my own age.
