Facebook imports your contacts and matches them with information from other Facebook users to locate the right people. Log in to Facebook with your username and password. Click the friends icon in the blue toolbar at the top of your screen, where you usually see friend request notifications, and choose "Find Friends." Click a service through which you would like to locate friends and fill in the requested information. Some services -- such as AIM -- ask for your username or email and password.
